CHALET FOXDEN

Set on a one-hectare family estate at the edge of the forest, high on the sun-drenched southern slopes of Le Coupeau, Chalet Foxden is a newly completed mountain retreat with an unbroken panorama of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi. Completed in early 2025, the chalet marries warm honey-toned timber on ceilings and floors with darker weathered wood on feature walls, raw concrete accents and local granite in a material language that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in its Alpine setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve the boundary between the open-plan living space and the peaks beyond, while a generous timber terrace extends the interior outward into the mountain air. Add to this four en-suite bedrooms, a private sauna, a dedicated cinema room and a position just five minutes from the ski lifts of Les Houches, and Foxden reveals itself as a considered base from which to explore the Chamonix Valley and beyond in every season.
