Painstakingly restored in 2004 and thoughtfully refreshed in 2016, the villa today combines original stone walls, reclaimed terracotta floors and heavy timber beams with interiors of warm, layered elegance, creating a home that carries its history lightly. Villa San Savino is a restored 14th-century farmhouse and chapel set within the 18,000-acre Tenuta di Murlo estate in northern Umbria, 20 km from Perugia.
The property sleeps up to eight guests across four king en-suite bedrooms: one on the ground floor and three on the first floor, two of which can be configured as twins.
The private heated pool measures 11 x 5m and is equipped with loungers and sun terrace, with open panoramic views across the Umbrian valleys.
A heated outdoor cedar tub on the pool terrace offers a second vantage point over the hills, particularly well-positioned for sunset.
The ground floor includes a spacious living and dining room, a sitting room with fireplace, a TV room housed in the former chapel, and a fully equipped sunny kitchen with French windows opening to the garden.
A panoramic wooden deck adjacent to the pool serves as an al fresco dining and aperitivo terrace with unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.
