In winter, nearby ski resorts such as the “Gerlitzen Alpe” or the “Dreiländereck” are perfect for skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing. If you are more into gentle winter activities, you are sure to find enough to do in this area too – for instance taking a ski tour or a snow-shoe-hike at the nature park Dobratsch.

3 private guest tips
Make sure to stay during spring or autumn at the chalet, the Lake Faaker See is just incredible. We have stayed there as a group of four and had a fantastic BBQ (the barbecue is on site and can be used free of charge). Our stay was amazing and oh, if you do not want to cook, the sister hotel the Dorf SEELEITN is literally only two minutes by foot. It’s a hotel that is constructed as a village and it serves amazing food and had a kids club that our kids could also visit – free of charge.
Check out the additional services provides by the sister hotels “Dorf SCHÖNLEITN” (open summer and winter) and “Dorf SEELEITN” (open summer). We have stayed for a long weekend in February and our kids were able to visit BIBI´s kids club at Dorf SCHÖNLEITN, while we went for snowshoeing at the nearby Dobratsch. It was lovely!
This location is definitely one of a kind! We loved the private sauna with view over the lake and private access to it – it was just incredible. We used the free SUPs that were provided on site to take a tour on Lake Faaker See. We started super early in the morning end explored the so called “Everglades of Lake Faaker See” which was extraordinary and after we returned from the SUP-tour we visited the restaurant “Dorfwirt SEELEITN” to enjoy the rich, delicious breakfast buffet there. It was just amazing – we will definitely be back!
